| An 18th-Century brick servants’ quarters screened by the ancient boxwoods of The 1804 Inn, the Cottage has been renovated to 21st Century standards of comfort, including air-conditioning and individual kitchen, while carefully preserving its irreplaceable charm: slate floors, wood beam ceilings, working fireplace and original windows. An incomparable resting place for couples on any tour of the Virginia Piedmont, each of the Cottage’s individual suites is named for one of Barboursville’s great Piemontese reds, Barbera and Nebbiolo.
